This months chapter “meeting” will be the annual bonfire at Riverview.  All pilots, friends and anyone who likes to look up at the sky are welcome.  Hamburgers, hot-dogs and pop will be provided…members are asked to bring chairs and a dish to pass.

NOTICE:  Be prepared to nominate officers for EAA145 at the November chapter meeting.  Consider who would like to be:

  1) President

  2) Vise President

  3) Treasurer

  4) News letter Editor

Hugh Eisen called September’s meeting to order at 7:00, at Len Galway’s home, eleven members attended.

Chucks’ treasure’s report stated that checks were sent out for corporation fees, B-17 expenses and stamps.  Monies were received for dues and hanger rent.  The current balance on hand is $2694.

Headquarters’ News:  Hugh has reported that he has received a check for about $2200 for EAA145’s part in the B-17 visit to Rapid Air in August.

Young Eagle News:  No more Young Eagle rallies are planned for the rest of the Year.  Dick did receive notice from YE headquarters that he has flown over 1000 Young Eagles.  In appreciation for all of the support from EAA145, dick provided a special treat to go with the coffee.

Progress reports:  None reported.

Last month’s meeting was at Len’s “hanger” on Duncan Lake.  He purchased a Buccaneer SX amphibious ultra light in Wisconsin.  Len gave an interesting talk about how the 10 year old “Buc” was brought home, how it flies and his plans for the future. 

Len also displayed the tail feathers of a T-51 and a Geo fuel injected engine.  Both of these items are for sale (616-891-7987)
