Bill's Kitfox Classic IV
This is my Kitfox Classic IV. First flight was on Father’s Day, 2001 after about 2200 hours of build time during six years of on and off construction. The airworthiness certificate was issued on March 6, 2001. Power is a Rotax 912 turning a 70” Powerfin ground adjustable propeller set up to cruise at about 85 MPH. The panel is VFR with turn coordinator, gyros, Icom IC-200 com, Terra TRT 250 D transponder/mode C, G.R. Technology E.I.S. and controls to regulate the engine coolant temperature and the landing/taxi light all built into the custom radiator scoop. As with most homebuilt aircraft there are many additional personally tailored modifications and enhancements. I have more than 250 hours on the plane now and it has proven to be economical, reliable, fun to fly and most of all a very satisfying sense of personal accomplishment.
